Dr Mihai Firescu MBBS, MRCP(UK), PG Cert (Med Ed)

Dr Mihai Firescu is a Cardiology Teaching Fellow in the North East. He graduated from Carol Davila University of Bucharest, Romania in 2014, being awarded his medical degree with honours. During this time, he was involved in organising various national undergraduate training courses.

Post-graduation, he completed Foundation Programme and Core Medical Training in the North East of England, gaining MRCP(UK).

He has developed a passion for teaching, completing a PG Certificate in Medical Education with Newcastle University as an Acute Medicine Teaching Fellow, and currently undertaking the PG Diploma in Medical Education with the same institution as a Cardiology Teaching Fellow. 

He hopes to pursue a combined clinical and academic career in Cardiology.
