I believe that medicine is not just a science for a science sake but a science for an action sake, therefore I decided to share what I know with others as for me to teach means to learn twice!

We know that preparing for MRCP PACES exam can be a nerve-racking experience. We know this because we have been through it ourselves; therefore, our mission is to help the next generation of doctors to take their career to the next level by sharing with them this comprehensive, yet concise, convenient and enjoyable training experience to support them to pass their PACES exam in a single attempt.

We have combined our medical knowledge with the practical experience that we have gained over the years by using the resources that we found useful and helped us to progress through our career so far. These include textbooks, training courses, lecture notes, word of mouth from senior colleagues (whom knowledge and experience we trust) and most importantly the interaction with patients in our daily practice. We aim to provide you with the pure end product of our experience and many years of dedicated hard work that we hope you find useful in your journey to achieve the MRCP (UK) title.

We are committed to provide you with the highest possible standards of practical experience entwined with most up- to- date knowledge that you require to form your own clinical experience. This will not only be limited to obtain your MRCP(UK) title but most importantly to help you become a confident, competent and caring doctor to provide your patients with the highest standards of care they deserve. The mastery of paces is an art, art that you already have but needs that extra touch, that extra confidence.

Paces Examination is an art designed to perfection in order to evaluate ones knowledge and clinical skills. To fully understand and successfully overcome the loose ends you need to have a proficient tutor, a tutor who can plan your map with a little modulation of your confidence, communications and approach to help you reach your destination. A doctor who is at the stage of appearing in Paces Exam is usually well experienced and is overwhelmed with knowledge and skills. But when and how to use this knowledge is what most of us lack during preparation.

I have seen so many doctors, national and international, who work so hard yet do not succeed and mostly the reason is they don’t get taught the “essence” of paces exam. I believe that finding the right guidance at right time attributes massively to the candidates success. My journey to initiate this all started soon after I learnt that by organising a few teaching sessions for one of my colleague brought her enormous relief and joy (paces candidate from Egypt on a clinical attachment in UK).

Here at Paces Education, we have gone through the process of completing our Membership and have trained others too. It is a long road to get to PACEs – ‘The Final Gateway’. It is a stressful time in our careers as it is our first real test as fully fledged clinicians, scrutinised by the people we aspire to be. We understand and know the regular pitfalls and bad habits candidates have that makes getting over the final hurdle a challenge.

I have been involved in organising PACEs for several years, including running the day, finding patients and being involved in scenario ideas.
